why did they bother to call it windows??? it looks just like kde...

So, I finally got to see what windows 7 looks like, and I liked it... but I reckon its because it looks just like my KDE 4.x desktop. Oh I missed some stuff like Yakuake and nifty stuff that Linux does, but all in all it looked much better than anything thing else that company has passed as an OS in the past. I take that back, I really liked DOS.
OK so I was young, and learning my feet, but I like the command line stuff back then already.
I haven't really played with it longer than say about 10 minutes so far, so I really can't comment on what the actual experience will be, but I hope it doesn't crash as often as the other versions of this OS.
I do understand that they have made wonderful strides as to abolish the Blue screen of death, and it is all but gone... cause now its BLACK!!!! wonderful, absolutely brilliant, wish I had thought of that solution.
It's gotten so boring slating windows, cause its so easy, that I can't carry on any more, I'm boring even myself... so cheers for now

Killing the buzz

Well its been like a whole week since buzz has been released, I don't like it.... But something is urging me to use it ??? Why its insane and I can't explain it.
Besides the fact that google has blatantly ignored any sense of privacy in the initial release, it would seem that many people still like it. Yeah, yeah, they've updated it and are asking more questions, but really is it more secure? I guess the old adage, if you can't see it, is something evil lurking?

I guess this runs onto the topic, is the web destroying privacy and make the world smaller? Or even, is this a good thing? Should we all know each other intimately, I mean, to bump into a person in a street, and recognise them or their children is rather alarming, especially if you have never met them before. All this social networking is working, due to some sociological construct, that is either unwritten or lost in some text book somewhere. Either way I don't understand it, and seem to participate in it whole heartedly too... the oddity of it all.

So is Buzz good or bad, I don't know, I know that I don't like it at the moment though... but with Google you never know, so I guess I'll just keep playing with it.. later all
